Bettie Bangs Tutorial

{Stills of Gretchen Mol, "The Notorious Bettie Page"}

First of all, I have to really thank everyone for their sweet comments of support on the last post... it's so uplifting and encouraging to read them, always! As our lives are taking a strange turn of events right now (my husband and I both forced to look for work), I still feel great joy within myself as I know life is good... it really is, and I'm looking forward to what it has to offer!

Anyway, I am excited to get this post up, as I've promised to do it for so long! Here is the video going through my process of cutting my bangs... actually, my bangs are already quite longer than in the video, and I suppose I have to decide if I want to cut them in the Bettie style again or let them grow out slightly to do a more flat cut...?

Good luck everyone!

Your tutorials are unrivaled :-)

You explain it so well and the vids are always so clear as well.

On my last visit home to Austria I met up with some old friends and talking about vintage hair we ended up trying to recommend your tuts to each other. Turns out we were all watching already :-)

Wow, I haven't posted a comment in ages! I love the blunt bangs on vintage-styled women. It's so classy! I, however, grew up with blunt bangs and they just don't suit me, so as soon as I had the patience to grow them out, it got done!

Wow, that is so pretty on you! Sadly, mine require intense flat ironing to get that look.

I'm so sorry I missed your last post, Aya, and I hope things are improving now! :)

I know I've said this before, but that fringe (or bangs, in the US terminology!) looks great on you.

I have longer bangs, I could never do the bettie bangs. I have too many issues with cowlicks and my current length as it is. I do cut them myself. I actually only get my hair cut twice a year and I trim up my own bangs. It saves money and I can make them just as I want them.

Also, so sorry about your husband and your jobs. My husband is out of work as well and it is tough.

One might associate the word "Koi" with a beautiful fish, but yet another meaning for the word, is "love"; a deep and passionate love, perhaps, like my passion for vintage-style.
